Buying, Returns and Disputes

Last updated November 2, 2026

This policy explains how purchases, returns and disputes work on the Site. It is part of the Terms of Use.

Paying and getting your part

Pay only through the Site. Your payment is held until the order is delivered or you pick it up, and your claim window passes. Sellers ship within the handling time shown and upload tracking. For local pickups, show the seller your pickup code only once you have inspected the part and are ready to take it. Giving the code confirms you received it.

If something is wrong with your part

You are covered if a part arrives damaged, is the wrong part, doesn’t work, or doesn’t match the listing’s description or photos, or (for pickups) has a defect you could not have seen at pickup. Open a claim from your orders page within 30 days of delivery or pickup, with photos.

For these claims you get a full refund of the item price and shipping, and the seller pays return shipping. Return the part in the condition you received it, with any marks the seller put on it, within 10 days of the claim being accepted. Parts that have been disassembled, modified, painted, or damaged by installation are not covered, except as the listing’s part rules allow.

Partial refunds: keep it with money back

Instead of a return, the seller may offer part of your money back so you can keep the part, for example for a cracked tab or a missing bolt. You choose: accept it, and the claim is closed with that amount refunded and nothing to ship back; or decline it and return the part for the full refund described above. Accepting is final for that claim.

If you ordered the wrong part or changed your mind

Each listing shows the seller’s policy: Final sale, 30-day returns (you pay return shipping and any restocking fee shown), or Exchange or credit. Confirm part numbers and fitment before you buy. “It doesn’t fit” is a buyer mistake unless the listing said it fits your vehicle and it does not.

Part-specific rules

  • Electrical parts, including computers and modules, can’t be returned once installed or programmed, except for a part that is not as described.
  • Engines and transmissions are covered only if installed by a repair shop, with the receipt and fresh fluids.
  • Body parts must come back unpainted and unmodified.

Disputes

If you and the seller don’t agree, either of you can ask us to decide. Sellers have 3 business days to respond to a claim. We look at the listing, photos, messages and tracking. Our decision about the funds held on the Site is final for those funds. It does not limit any legal rights you have against the seller.

Chargebacks

Please use our claim process before disputing a charge with your bank. If you file a chargeback, we may pause your claim and your account until it is resolved.

Installation and safety

Have safety-related parts inspected and installed by a qualified mechanic. We and sellers are not responsible for labor, towing, rental or other costs of installing or removing a part, except where the seller agrees in writing or the law requires. Check nhtsa.gov/recalls for open recalls.
